Outlets, which is very popular in western Europe and US, will come to Ningbo next April. The first outlets has completed the registration in Jiangbei District.
Outlets, a new sales model starting in Europe and US, means shopping centre for brands that are out-of season, or short in size, and the prices are only 10-60% of the original ones.
The first outlets will open in Milan Avenue in Fortune Centre Jiangbei whose total area will reach 20,000 sqm. World-famous brands like Armini, Ermenegildo Zegna and Versace will come.
Ningbo Newspaper Group signed a Co-operation agreement with Italian Monrif Group in Florence. Mr. Wang Zhuohui, Chairman of Ningbo CPPCC attended the ceremony.
According to the agreement, the two parties has established friendship, and will issue special pages to introduce both cities, set up communication channels for news, start training and send exchange staff, report essential events in both cities.
Monrif is the largest media group in Italy, with main business in newspaper, tourism and hotel.
Dutch Yingdesi Industrial Design Co., Ltd. signed the agreement with Ningbo Industrial and Design Development to land in the Ningbo Creative Streets. So far seven companies have entered 2 of which are foreign companies.
Over 150 Sacon 3G auto heaters, made in Ningbo, have been used to equip the main Beijing Olympic stadiums. For example, the Bird’s Nest, Water Cube and Sand Volley Stadiums have all been provided with Sacon heaters to supply 24-hour hot water to the Games.

China Tourist and Hotel Association have issued the ranking of the top 30 Chinese hotel groups, and Nanyuan Group, the only one from Ningbo, is on the list.
The 30 groups are assessed in a comprehensive way of group scale, management, branding and achievement.

Nanyuan E House, Ningbo business chain store hotel has opened its first Beijing outlet today in the busy Wangfujing commercial area, to grab a piece of the Olympic cake. The other two hotels and one hotel in Tianjin will open very soon.

Gao Ge Ya Yi is a world leader in ERP. This is the first time that a world famous software company has chosen Ningbo as its headquarters.
Gao Ge Ya Yi was established in Taiwan over 20 years ago. At present it serves more than 60,000 clients; its ERP system has taken a leading role. Prologis Logistics Park (Ningbo Beilun), invested by US Prologis Group, started yesterday. This is another world leading logistics company in Beilun after Maersk and AMB.
The total investment reached USD 25 million, mainly used in the development of logistics real estate. The first phase will occupy 174 mu, and it is planned to go into operation in the first half of 2009.
In the recent years, Ningbo is exerting its port advantages to develop its modern logistics industry to become a regional logistics and distribution centre. Last year, Beilun District opened its Modern International Logistics Park that unites store, distribution and showcase. The Top 20 world logistics companies are the main targets.

Zhongyin (Ningbo) Battery Co., Ltd. is moving to Shuang Lu Science City inside Ningbo Hi-tech Park.
Shuang Lu Science City is invested by Zhongyin (Ningbo) Battery Co., Ltd. with RMB 1 billion. It has become the largest capacitor battery manufacturing base. There are two functional zones: manufacturing and distribution. Shuang Lu Battery Factory covers an area of 100,000 sqm, with 17 production lines for the largest annual production of 3 billion batteries. Moreover, new types LR6/LR03 solar battery production lines have been put into use.
Another high rise with 80,000 sqm is due to be built. By then it will become one of the few high rises above 150 metres, complete with a helicopter landing area.
